Merc personnel and apprentices compete in Skills Competition 2010
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s Apprentice Training Centre (ATC) recently held the 2nd Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Skills Competition 2010 for Mercedes-Benz Certified Service Personnel and also ATC’s own apprentices. Held at the ATC’s own premises in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, the competition is aimed at promoting the spirit of learning and development amongst participating individuals.
Over 200 Certified Service Personnel participated in the competition which comprised of four categories – Certified Diagnosis Technician (CDT), Certified Service Advisor (CSA), Certified System Technician (CST), and Certified Maintenance Technician (CMT). Meanwhile, ATC’s apprentices competed in the Automotive Mechatronic category, where they were given written and practical tests covering various aspects of the automotive field.
Five participants in each category emerged as finalists to compete at the grand finals held at ATC in Glenmarie, Shah Alam for cash prizes worth over RM85,000 after beating their peers in nationwide qualifying and semi-final rounds.
