Land Rover Malaysia launches new Discovery 4 and Range Rover 3.6 TDV8 Vogue edition
Land Rover has announced the availability of two new variants in its line-up of models for the Malaysian market today – the Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 and also the Range Rover 3.6 TDV8 Vogue Edition. The new Discovery 3.0 replaces the outgoing 2.7-litre model while the Range Rover Vogue, previously brought in only on a special order basis, is now available with ready stocks.
From 189hp and 440Nm made by the Disco 2.7, the new 3.0-litre diesel motor with twin sequential blowers is far more generously endowed with 244hp and 600Nm sent to the road via a ZF-sourced 6-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment on the Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 include 19″ alloy rims and a reverse camera. It is priced at RM423,888 in Peninsula Malaysia, up from RM413,888 for the 2.7.
Strong demand for the special order-only Vogue edition Range Rover has motivated Land Rover to make add this trim level into its range of offerings in 3.6 TDV8 guise, at RM688,888 in Peninsula Malaysia, a RM30,000 premium over the 3.6 TDV8 HSE.
Engine is unchanged, with the 271hp / 640Nm 3.6-litre diesel motor providing propulsion, but the Vogue justifies its bigger price tag by adding Oxford leather seats, reclining rear seats and wireless VentureCam into its arsenal of equipment.
