New Peugeot service centre opens in Puchong
Nasim Sdn Bhd, official distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia, today launched a new 2S (Service & Spare parts) centre in Puchong, the first of five new outlets to be launched in the next six months. The opening of this new branch is part of Nasim’s network expansion efforts which also saw the opening of new 3S centres in Ipoh and Ampang, in addition to a sales centre nearby in Puchong recently.
Since April, Nasim has spent some RM15 million in its efforts to expand its sales and service network, and these efforts culminated in the opening of these three new branches. A further RM25 million is set to be poured in over the next six months, which will see new outlets open in Kota Kinabalu, Kota Bahru, Malacca, and Seremban.
“We have been expanding our reach to new markets over the last seven months and will continue to do so well into the second quarter of next year,” said Mr Samson Anand George, COO of Nasim at the launch of the company’s new 2S centre in Puchong.
The new Nasim Puchong 2S centre is equipped with tools to perform routine services, wheel alignment and balancing, body & paint services including insurance claims, windscreen replacement and vehicle inspection service. The centre is also equipped with two units of the Peugeot Planet System Diagnostics tool which can perform full diagnostics and software upgrades for a vehicle’s electronics.
Currently, the service centre has the capacity of handling 15 cars per day, though the company has the room of adding a further three service bays to bring capacity to 21 cars per day in future expansion plans.
Samson noted that the increasing volume enjoyed by the Peugeot brand makes network expansion a necessary exercise for Nasim, saying that, “We are targeting to sell between 7,000 and 8,000 units next year, which will be double of what have sold for this year. The bulk of the sales will come from the new 207 sedan which will be launched in November as well as other popular models such as the 308 and the 3008.”
Speaking of the 207 sedan, Nasim officials dropped an exciting piece of news regarding the vehicle during the post-launching press conference. The vehicle will be launched within the next one month and will be priced NOT exceeding RM75,000. No further details were provided other than there will be no option for a manual transmission model.
Meanwhile, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in conjunction with Peugeot’s 200-Year Anniversary campaign, Nasim today presented a cheque worth RM200,000 to Hospis Malaysia at the service centre’s launch. Hospis Malaysia is a charitable organization that offers palliative care to patients suffering from various terminal illnesses throughout the Klang Valley.
