Malaysian young drivers looking for a platform to develop their motorsport talents are now presented an opportunity to do so with Red Bull Malaysia’s “RB21 Driver Search” programme, organized in partnership with Asia Advanced Driving Academy (AADA).

Open to all Malaysians, male and female, aged from 16 to 21 years of age, the RB21 Driver Search aims to find, fund and nurture aspiring, up-and-coming Malaysian driving talent, hopefully developing them into world-class competitors. For selected participants the training curriculum includes physical training, language and culture, media skills, and team dynamics among others.

To participate, contestants are required to register online at the RB21 Driver Search official website (URL below). This first phase of the search lasts from 1 October to the 30 November 2010. The second phase of the recruitment process sees participants put through a driving test and interviews to assess not only their driving competencies, but also character. Successful applicants would then go through intensive boot camp and training modules.

Selected drivers of the programme will have their driving skills trained and honed by Kenvin Low, Chief Trainer of AADA.

“This programme is a step in finding the next Malaysian driver and eliminates the predicament of those who are passionate in racing but they really don’t know the hows, wheres or whats needed to get there,” said Kenvin.

Red Bull and AADA already has a long-standing partnership having collaborated to run the ‘Red Bull Rookies’ female driver search programme since 2008.
