Shell Helix sends four Malaysians to Maranello
In conjunction with the recent Singapore Formula One Grand Prix, Shell Helix organized a day-long carnival at Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru. Open from morning till night, the Shell Helix Ferrari Adventure Street Carnival engaged attending members of the public with a series of games which offered various prizes.
The biggest winners of the day were Haslizan bin Mohamed Sarbini, 37, Ashraf Akashah, 31, Mohd Azlin Idris, 33 and Basir Samsudin, 40 from Johor Bahru, Ampang, Ukay Perdana (Ampang) and Klang, respectively. The quartet were grand prize winners of the Shell Helix Ferrari Adventure Challenge, and will be flying to visit Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello, Italy on 18 – 19 November 2010.
Early in the morning, eight finalists squared off against each other in four challenges – Giant Ball Maranello Track, Active Cleansing, Run the Engine, and Rev the Engine Quiz. Having safely negotiated those four tasks, the four winners are now rewarded with a money-can’t-buy experience: learn how to drive a Ferrari 458 Italia, meet one of Ferrari’s Formula One drivers, visit Shell’s unique mobile race-track laboratory, go on a VIP tour of the top-secret Ferrari factory, drive Shell’s Formula One race trainer and explore the Ferrari museum.
“Shell Helix wants to offer our consumers a chance to drive and experience the power and performance of Ferrari, lubricated by Shell Helix Ultra. We are very proud of the 4 Grand Prize winners as they truly deserve to win this lifetime experience to Maranello, Italy. Congratulations to the four!” said Tan Min Yih, General Manager, Lubricants, South East Asia- South Cluster.
It was indeed a weekend to celebrate for Shell and Ferrari, as those at the carnival watched Fernando Alonso lead from start from finish to take the chequered flag of the Singapore F1 GP 2010.
