Perodua reaches out to Dyslexic Society of Malaysia
Official Press Release from Perodua
RAWANG 21 July – Perodua today donated 1 unit of the Alza MPV to the Dyslexic Society of Malaysia as part of its Corporate Responsibility programme to help non-profit organisations to meet its goals of helping those in need.
The Alza unit was handed over by Perodua Managing Director En. Aminar Rashid Salleh to the society’s president Puan Sariah Amirin at a ceremony held at the Perodua headquarters here today.
Mr. Osamu Oaki, the Managing Director of Perodua Auto Corporation Sdn Bhd, was also present at the ceremony.
“As a responsible corporate citizen, Perodua wishes to be a part of this society’s goals and achievement,” Perodua Managing Director En Aminar Rashid Salleh said at the ceremony.
Aminar said that those with Dyslexia are capable of achieving many things, despite their learning disability; these special people are often gifted with a different view of the world.
“It is unfortunate that this distinction causes those with Dyslexia to be ostracised by their peers. However, with a little patients and guidance, these students can contribute greatly to society,” Aminar said.
“There are historical figures which has the same condition such as Albert Einstein. His ability to see things differently has changed the course of human history,” he added.
Aminar also hoped that Perodua and the Dyslexia Society of Malaysia could work together again in the future.
