Organized with the objective of drumming up the F1 atmosphere in the city, admission to the carnival is free for members of the public, with the main gates open between 10:00am and 10:00pm daily.

The carnival opened on 27 Mar 2010, a day before the Melbourne GP, which was screened live to visitors. It continues for the entire week with various programmes and activities until the Malaysian GP on 4 Apr 2010, which the organizers would also screen live at the event venue.

Also held in conjunction with the opening day of the event was the 8th KL Vintage & Classic Car Concours, which attracted the participation of 65 well-preserved beauties with years of manufacture ranging from 1922 to 1985.

Visitors to the carnival will get the opportunity to attempt on a go-kart challenge, remote control car challenge, and also a chance to replicate the heroics of their favourite drivers in the F1 simulator.

Planned festivities include live performances by a host of Malaysian artistes, which include the likes of Jaclyn Victor, One Buck Short, Dayang Nurfaizah, Estranged, and many more. In addition, the various teams in the vast Petronas Motorsports family will be taking turns to show their stuff in daily demos.

Of course, the main highlight, would be live appearances of the Mercedes GP Petronas F1 drivers Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher themselves. On Tuesday, 30 Mar 2010, 6:30pm there will be an open stage fan interview with the duo. The action is then drummed up the following day as Schumacher and Rosberg will take their F1 cars to the street in a live demo scheduled to happen at 5:50pm.
