New Boss for Honda Malaysia

by -

Effective 1 April 2009, Mr Toru Takahashi had assumed the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia. A man of vast experience, Takahashi-san, 55, replaces 46-year-old Mr Atsushi Fujimoto, now reassigned to Honda Automobile Thailand Co. Ltd.

Looking forward to his new assignment, Takahashi said, through Honda Malaysia’s official press release, “I am very happy and excited to be posted in Malaysia and I look forward to work closely with our business partners here in Malaysia to achieve Honda’s principle of providing products at the highest quality with a reasonable price; to achieve Customer Satisfaction No.1 in Malaysia.”

Of sales & marketing background, Takahashi joined Honda back in 1977, and has since trekked the world all in the name of working for the big H. He is arriving in Malaysia, bringing along a portfolio of experience that includes stints in Oceania, North America, the Middle East, and Africa. His previous position was as Manager in the Automobile Department, Overseas Operation at Honda’s HQ in Japan.

Honda Malaysia made great strides under the stewardship of Fujimoto-san, who also happened to be a rather likeable chap. Under his watch, we saw Honda launch the current Accord, CR-V, City and also the recently facelifted Civic. Here’s wishing him all the best in Thailand, and welcoming the successor, Mr Toru Takahashi.

  2. Recently I bought a new Honda Accord 2.4 from this dealer, VIVAHILL AUTO SDN BHD located at Sungai Nibong, Penang. To tell you my experience, it was horrible.
First enter the showroom, the atmosphere there was super noisy, salesman shouting at each other, not quarrel but they were communicating in a bad manner even with obscene words. As I am staying nearby, I close one eye and proceeded. Was attended by this salesperson, AC, was happy with his presentation and I paid the booking on the spot. That was when all the disasters came in. First, I was delayed of the delivery of my new car. I accepted the delay but what I am dissatisfied was I was offered a ‘fast car’ but needed to pay RM 1,500.00 undertable money. What is this?? That salesperson told me that the money is for compensating another customer because they withdraw the car and give it to me as I needed the car urgently la… paying driver to transport the car from the plant la… and all sorts of reasons. Fine, I agreed and pay the additional cost.
Next, I ordered the Original MUGEN bodykits, paid few thousands ringgits and guess what, they installed the fake cheap one for me! I wasn’t knew that till I broke the sideskirts and went back to the workshop and was told by the mechanic it was not original from HONDA. I was so angry and called up the salesperson staraight away, he admitted his wrongdoings and willing to compensate me back. As I don’t want any trouble I accepted his apologies but to ensure this things never happen again I decided to give a word or two to the MD, which I got the number from the front service counter. I called up few times but always asked me to call back as she was busy. Finally got in touch with her, seems that she is not bothered, asked me to call the dealer’s manager as she doesn’t want to get involved. What the heck?! What is happening here? My family are so loyal to Honda and this my 3rd Honda personally and I don’t expect this in return. Hope the Honda Malaysia sees this and would look into this matter seriously so that what I experienced will not happen to others as this will tarnish the good brand name of HONDA. Will e mail this to HM as well.

  3. One month ago, my car starts experiencing noisy sound (Wind Whistling Sound) from inside the car. Not saying that im driving fast enough, but the noise can be heard as the car accelerates from 60km/h (imagine the sound if were to drive more than 100km/h) and it is very irritating. So I had the car checked at Seri Kembangan Honda Service Centre (Global Amity Sdn Bhd), after they replace with new front glass, the next day the noise can be heard again. So I decided to get some advices from other Honda dealer in Glenmary,Shah Alam. And were told that the noise was meant to be as that (for this type of car model) and so the problem is still there.
After get annoyed by the noisy sound, we’ve decided to get it check at another Honda Service Centre. What come to our surprised is that, repeatedly the mechanic told that the noisy sound are more likely to happen to this type of Honda Model.

I am much REGRET to purchase this type of Model and to buy car from Honda itself!!. As I thought, my previous experience of good performance with Honda City the good perception will continue for this 2nd purchase of Honda car (but surprisingly is it not).

Now my question is, do you had any EXPERTISE who can help to overcome my problem, or just simply change the parts to solve my problem?
So now, is that means I had to keep on going back to the service centre whenever the problem some back (until my warranty come to its due date)???!!!!!!

I just want to solve the problem once and for all without me going back to the SC every other day!!

Please please help me in solving the problem as soon as possible. We appreciate your fastest response to this matter as day by day passed, the less I have confident in Honda Car Quality.

  4. I am from AIESEC UPM,
currently we are running a programme called “Career Symposium”,
and the date will be held on 28th April 2012.I want to seek partnership with your company to run the event. Your respond is much more appreciated.

  5. Just received call from Honda customer service, the staff in call force me to accept car (under ODKFF claim) which without fix my steering problem and give me reason that Honda City IDSI last batch steering having version issue.

Beside that, Tian Siang Auto Repair Sdn Bhd is dealer who fix my car, they cant fit the front bumper to my car and feedback to me that Honda manufacturer mould having problem which cannot fit to my car. What such reason? How I accept this kind reason. After they fix the front bumper, I drive back my car about few weeks, the bumper almost drop.

If Honda City IDSI having steering version issue, Honda should inform all customers send car back to factory for warranty instead of give customer such bad feedback. I feel very disappointed to Honda, please advice.

  6. I had make a booking for new honda CRV at Ipoh Tian Siang about 1 month ago. The sales guy promise the car could be deliver by Apr/2013 month end. I keep follow up closely with your guys for the status update, but I only heard “let me check, let me check…..”

Today is May/2013, I’m very disappointed with your service. If you unable deliver, then do not make such promise!
Such a branded Name and well organize company will allow the sales team cheating customer??
and I tell you what, this is my second honda Car, I have a same experience with my 1st car. Your sales guy promise 1 month, but at the end I waited 2 months.

Kindly contact me for further details.
