New Ford Escape – Soon to be launched in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, 5 April 2009 – Auto Connexion will be launching the 2009 Ford Escape very soon. Seen in the pics here is the first unit in Malaysia. The unit was sent to JPJ for homologation last week, and will be shipped out soon.
Size-wise, it is about the same size as its predecessor, and an unnamed source says that the new Ford Escape will be powered by a 2.3 litre DOHC fuel injcted engine. Horsepower is said to be increased with a new Variable Valbe Timing mechanism. This implies the new Ford Escape will be more pwoerful, and possibly more economical too.
If Auto Connexion can do for the Escape what it did for the Ford Focus, we can expect the same or even a cheaper price. It is expected that the new ford Escape will be imported as a CBU from the Philippines.
