Meet Aaron Lim & Check out the A1GP Simulator

by -

Good news for A1GP Team Malaysia Fans! A1 Team Malaysia is setting up a simulator to allow fans to experience driving the A1GP car on a circuit in real time. On hand will be Aaron Lim, our very own A1GP team driver to give useful tips on driving, and if you are good, perhaps you can race against him too!

At worst, he will be on hand to give out autographs, so bring your A1 posters or paraphernalia along for him to put his john Hancock on it for posterity.

In addition, there are prizes to be won; for the top five persons who clock the fastest times on the simulator, there will be free F1 tickets for this weekend’s Formula One race at Sepang on 5th April 2009.

Interested parties are invited to visit the Meet the Fans session at:-

Level 1, Menara Hap Seng,
Jalan P. Ramlee.
Date: 1st April 2009
Time : 1.00 pm onwards.

This is not an April Fool joke!

Aaron LIM, 22, son of Richard Lim, a successful karter in his own right, started his motor racing career in national karting championships and in 2004 represented his country at the Asian Karting Championship in Macau, dominating from the outset, claiming a new lap record, and taking victory by over 3 seconds. He moved to the scholarship class of the Formula BMW Asian series in 2005, and, despite a minimal budget and missing four rounds of racing, he notched up five top five finishes and two third place podiums.

In 2006, he continued with his motor sport education, competing in the Championship class of the Formula BMW Asian series finishing fifth overall. His success included a second place finish and five other top five finishes. In 2007 Lim graduated to a limited season in the Formula Renault V6 Asia Series, being on the podium in all the races in which he entered. Aaron is currently the rookie driver for A1 Team Malaysia.
