Naza Group of Companies Supports Palestinians of the Gaza War with RM606,800
KUALA LUMPUR – In response to the atrocities committed against the Palestinians in Gaza by Israeli forces, the Naza Group of Companies under Yayasan Naza contributed RM500,000 to the Amanah Kemanusiaan Rakyat Palestin fund to assist in alleviating the suffering endured by the Palestinians. En. SM Nasarudin Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama SM Nasimuddin, CEO of Naza Group of Companies mentioned that it is part of the company’s objective to contribute to worthy causes apart from conducting its auto and various business activities. The cheque was presented to Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs during the official launch of the Peugeot 308 on 29 January 2009 at Shangri-La Hotel, KL. The car was launched by YAB Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak. The staff of the Naza Group of Companies also contributed RM6,800 to the fund during the same event.
At the Malam Amal Atas Nama Kemanusiaan that took place at Panggung Sari, Istana Budaya on 31 January 2009, Naza TTDI, a member of the Naza Group of Companies also contributed to the same fund. The cheque amounting to RM100,000 was presented to YAB Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak by En. SM Faliq Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama SM Nasimuddin, Deputy Group Managing Director, Naza TTDI.
