Kuala Lumpur, 17 July 2008 – Good news for Nissan owners, especially for those who have purchased the Grand Livina, the Latio and the Sylphy. Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd is organizing a fuel economy competition for its customers who own any one of the above models.
A statement from the company stated, “With the recent increases in petrol price, fuel consumption has become one of the major concerns of motorists. As one of the major automotive companies in Malaysia, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd believes that it is important to inculcate good driving habits and to share valuable information with its customers and the general public alike, on how to save fuel through ‘economy’ driving techniques.
With the above mission in mind, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd is organizing the Nissan Lightfoot Quest 2008, which is essentially a contest for Nissan customers and their friends to realize the full potential of Nissan vehicles, in particular the Nissan Sylphy, the Nissan Latio and the Nissan Grand Livina, insofar as fuel economy is concerned. Attractive prizes await the category winners.”
The competition is scheduled to take place on 2nd and 3rd August 2008, and is restricted to the first 40 customers who register for it. Entry fee is RM100.00 per vehicle, and this entitles the owner to a free inspection at participating ETCM service outlets.
The winner of each category, namely the Sylphy Category, the 1.8 litre auto category, the 1.8 auto category, and the 1.6 manual category will take home a category prize of RM3,000.00 each. Prizes in each category are up to third place, with second and third places winning RM1,500 and RM800 respectively. In addition, the best performing Latio and Grand Livina will also get a bonus prize of RM1,000 each.
Each competitor is allowed a maximum of two persons per vehicle, both of whom must possess a valid driver’s license. All vehicles must have valid road tax and insurance.
