Skyline GT-R V-spec laps nurburgring faster than Carrera GT
It’s unofficial but a Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec is reported to have lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7.25 seconds, smashing the time set by Walter Rohrl in the Carrera GT which was 7.28 seconds.
The V-spec is suppose to be a special edition car and it was spotted in Germany with revised front spoiler with new splitter and a whole brace of other aerodynamic aids.
reports also indicate that the Nissan has swapped whole body panels with carbon fibre to trim a few hundred kilos off the car.
The engine has also been uprated but not figures has been released. It is not surprising if the car now cranks out more than 500bhp since the current engine has been clocked at more than the 475 hp rated by Nissan.
It seems that Godzilla is unstoppable.
Once you have driven any of the GTR’s from 32 onwards, you will never go back or drive anything else again…ever..trust me i have two of them and love these cars to bits..the GTR bug will leave you speechless even if you have a ferrari or even a porsche…
7.25 seconds or 7 minutes 25 seconds?? Even an F1 car can’t lap for less than a minute on nurburgring.
trustgtr, please dont try to ‘show-off’, only ferrari owners can say whether the gtr r33/34 is competitive enough. which i dont think it is.

normal user…I am not so sure that trust gtr is too far away from the truth.. the few people I know who have driven the car says it s faster than a 911 and the 355.. plus if you check out Autocar’s video you will see that it beats the 911 turbo on acceleration……that is something
as for handling… well FIfith Gear’s Jason Plato is impressed and he is a top BTCC driver and owns a 911 Turbo himself
