LCR Honda rider Randy de Puniet continued with his impressive form to clock the fastest laptime, going round the 5.542 kilometre Sepang International Circuit in an impressive 2 minutes 1.139 seconds

He was pushing hard throughout the day and crashed during the afternoon session while negotiating turn six, a fast right hander.

Multiple world champ Valentino Rossi had a better second day completing 60 laps and ending the day third on the timesheet with a time of 2 minutes 1:437 seconds on his Yamaha machine.

Rossi’s former teammate and now Yamaha Tech 3 rider, Colin Edwards went round the circuit 46 times and clocked 2 minutes 1.327 seconds.

2006 world champion Nicky Hayden was undertaking full responsibility in developing the 2008 Honda RC212V after Dani Pedrosa brke his arm in a fall yesterday.

Doing the work of two riders, Hayden was the busiest man on track, completing 66 laps.

He clocked a fastest time of 2 minutes 02.102 seconds to finish 10th fastest. World champion Casey Stoner clocked 2 minutes 1.638 seconds to finish fifth fastest.

The pre-season MotoGP tests continue tomorrow for the final day before the

teams and riders proceed to Phillip Island in Melbourne for further tests.
