Lexus Opens Its Doors in Malaysia

Petaling Jaya, 5 January 2006 – Lexus Malaysia opened its first 3S centre today at Mutiara Damansara, just a stone’s throw away from The Curve Shopping Complex. Costing close to RM40 million, the Lexus Centre Mutiara Damansara was officially declared open by YB Tan Sri Senator Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Minister of Finance II in a black tie ceremony attended by invited guests and the media.

Five storeys high, the Lexus centre has a built-up area of 11,375 square metres of space and is specially designed for the purpose of retailing cars. A statement from Lexus Malaysia stated, “The new Lexus Center is designed to provide the upper echelon of the premium segment the world-famous Lexus ownership experience with uncompromised luxury at every touch point.”

A tour of the premises indeed did impress the writer. Top class materials, top class furnishings, and much though has gone into the layout and fittings, all in the quest to ensure that the customer gets the full VIP treatment.

The showroom is large and spacious, designed to take 10 cars only. Not a problem, considering that Lexus Malaysia is selling, at least for the moment, only two models, the GS300, and the LS460L. Interested customers are ushered into a private room with plush settings for further discussions. In order to finalise car colour and trim combinations, potential customers can use the E-catalogue to check out the various combinations and select one.

Customers waiting for their cars to be serviced in the very modern and high-class workshop can relax in the guest lounge and look down onto the workshop floor through large glass windows and see their cars being worked on, while sipping tea or drinking coffee.

If you are a busy executive with work to do, there is even a business suite, a separate room equipped with a complete office facility for you to do your work while waiting for your car to be serviced.
