The four cars belong to three NSX-GT teams, namely Team Honda Racing, Epson Nakajima Racing and Team Kunimitsu. All the teams are headed by experienced racing veterans. Nakajima, who runs the Epson Nakajima Team, and holds the distinction of being the first Japanese driver to complete a Formula 1 season.

Team Honda Racing will be fielding two NSX cars, the ARTA NSX team car and the Takata Dome NSX, which is the currently leader in the 2006 championship. Both teams are managed by Takuya Nakamura, and receive support from Dome, a leading Japanese constructor with experience in building F1 cars and Le Mans cars. In fact, all the NSX models competing in the Super GT Series are developed by Dome.

Finally, the Super GT race comes with the embellishment that is an all-time favourite with the racing fans; the GT queens will be around this weekend too, and AW will be there to take photos of them (and the cars too), and share them with our readers.
