BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival AAM Malaysian Autokhana Championship – Round 1

Penang’s most famous Fort to be the scene of a whole new Battle!

Make it a point to be at Fort Cornwallis, Esplanade, Penang, on August 22nd, 2004 – With the recent memories of the AMF Autocross event at Sepang on 8th August still lingering in the minds of many a car enthusiast, the action now moves north to the island state of Penang. Round 1 of the BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival AAM Malaysian Autokhana Championship will held in this sunny state over the weekend of 21st & 22nd August.

Participants this weekend will pit their car control skills in the Autokhana against the clock and each other, to ultimately be selected to represent Malaysia at the Autokhana finals in Sepang in December. Cash prizes await the winners in different categories this weekend, and registration is still open. Spectators are all welcome to come and watch some hot car action at this venue.

Saturday 21st August: 4pm – 6pm, Scrutineering and Registration
Sunday 22nd August: 9am – 5pm, Autokhana Championship-Round 1
Venue: Fort Cornwallis, Esplanade, Penang.

The BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival is a celebration of grassroots motorsports in the region. This and other rounds to be held at various venues around Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia will culminate at the finals to be held at the Sepang F1 Circuit from 6th to 12th December 2004. Top drivers from around the region will gather at the finals to challenge each other and to ultimately be crowned the BFGoodrich AMF Autocross/Autokhana Champion.
