Come midnight 30th June 2004, Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (LITRAK) and Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Sdn Bhd (SPRINT), will cease Fastrak services on Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) and Lebuhraya SPRINT, respectively.
This is in line with the instruction by the Government to stop other means of electronic toll payment system except Touch N Go and Smart Tag. Both LDP and SPRINT already have Touch N Go lanes in place and shall have Smart Tag operating latest by 1 July 2004.
All existing Fastrak users can return their tags and have the prepaid balance and also the tag cost refunded (as per original purchase) at the following locations :
Kedai Fastrak at PJ Northbound Layby (Bandar Sunway), LDP
Kedai Fastrak at PJ Southbound Layby (Bandar Sunway), LDP
Kedai Fastrak at Penchala Toll Plaza (Bandar Sri Damansara), LDP
Kedai Fastrak at Puchong Barat Toll Plaza (Puchong), LDP
Kedai Fastrak at Puchong Selatan Toll Plaza (Serdang) LDP
Kedai Fastrak at SPRINT’s Maintenance Depot (Section 17, PJ), SPRINT.
The operation hours of these Kedai Fastrak are from 7.30am – 7.30pm from Monday to Friday and 7.30am – 5.00pm on Saturday. Kedai Fastrak is closed on Public Holidays and on first and third Saturdays of the month. Public will be informed on any changes of the operating hours of the above outlets. In order to accommodate the huge volume of tags to be returned, all Kedai Fastrak will be opened until the end of Sept 2004.
The refund of the tag cost will be given only to customers who registered during the purchase of the tag, according to its original price. For eligibility of tag refund, customers are required to surrender their Fastrak tags at the said outlets. An authorization letter is required if it is applied on behalf of the registered owner. For security reasons, all refunds will be paid by cheques to the registered owners within 2 months upon the application of termination.
Customers who wish to purchase Touch N Go or Smart Tag, the nearest Point Of Sales would be :
Damansara Toll Plaza of NKVE
Subang Toll Plaza of NKVE
Batu 3 Toll Plaza of Federal Highway.
