Hot Ford Lynx to appear at the Motorshow
Ford Malaysia is going to unveil a hot Lynx at the coming motorshow and the first picture of it was handed to the media today. Designated the 2.0 RS Lynx, it is obvious that this has a bigger engine and according to our spies, the word ‘turbo’ has also been heard at one time. No technical details have been provided but the car looks like it has some extra accessories which make sure the ‘RS’ nature of this sedan are clear. Looks like Ian Khong is going to leave more tyre tracks around…
Another model the company will display is the Everest, a new SUV designed in Asia and launched in Bangkok earlier this year. The Everest shares the same platform as the Ranger but offers 7-seater capacity. It is due for introduction in Malaysia later on but Ford Malaysia is using the show to give the public a preview – just as they did with the Escape the last time.
Ford Malaysia will once again have a large floor area to show off a range of vehicles, interactive displays and also offer great merchandise. With an exhibition area of 630 sq. metres designed with the theme “IT IS a Ford…Look Again”, the exhibits will feature a wide range of Ford vehicles that include current models available in Malaysia, as well as several other special models from other parts of the world specially imported for the show. Ford Malaysia says it will also unveil some new models at the show.
Elaborating on this year’s theme, Deborah Aronson, MD of Ford Malaysia, said: “Our theme, is all about the double-take effect that Ford vehicles evoke from people. Ford has been setting standards for automotive excellence for 100 years, and at this motorshow, we will share with the Malaysian public what the Ford brand is all about, where we’re coming from, and more importantly, where we’re going. It is the best opportunity for consumers to make informed decisions on their next vehicle purchase.”
“This year’s event is also very significant for Ford as it marks the company’s 100th year. Ford has had a marked impact on the world by the way it goes about doing its business, not only in terms of creating automobiles, but in a larger social context as well,” she added.
