Goh Swee Hin Opens New Head Office/Pirelli Centre

Goh Swee Hin (KL) Sdn Bhd (GSH), the Pirelli distributor for Malaysia, today officially opened its new corporate head office in the Temasya Industrial Park in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor. The event was attended by Datuk Ong Tee Keat, Deputy Minister of Youth & Sport and senior executives from Pirelli as well as a larger number of tyre dealers.

The prominently located premises, at the entrance to the industrial park which is near the EON head office/service complex, include the Pirelli Tyre Performance Centre. According to GSH General Manager Yung Seng Fook, it is a tyre service centre with a significant difference.

“This facility has equipment to provide proper tyre services for high-performance models, many of which use Pirelli’s ultra-high performance tyres as standard equipment. We have the manufacturer’s information which enables us to offer owners the highest service standards,” he explained, adding that the company had assistance from Pirelli in terms of training and data acquisition.

“However, while we have the expertise to handle high-performance and luxury models, our services are also available to motorists with any type of vehicle from the Perodua Kancil to the latest 4-wheel drives,” Mr Yung added.

The relationship between Pirelli and GSH goes back more than 10 years and the original company was registered by Goh Swee Hin in Penang 1950 and officially incorporated in 1979. Its present chairman, Goh Boon Leong, began as an apprentice in the tyre shop and clearly has much experience in the business.
