EON is sending out the following letter to Perdana owners:

Dear Customer

Further to PROTON’s official news release on 20 September, and as a precautionary move, we have been advised by PROTON that there is a need to inspect the initial batch of Proton Perdanas introduced to the Malaysian market in 1995.

The inspection is to determine if there is irregularity on the dust cover that forms part of the front lateral lower arm of the suspension system. If you have had your car serviced regularly at EON, you might wish to note that this particular inspection is done periodically every 20,000 kms as prescribed in your service maintenance booklet.

While PROTON has been advised by the principal manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors Corporation that only a few hundred Perdanas are affected, both EON and PROTON are requesting that all Perdana owners of 1995 year of manufacture, to have their vehicles sent in for inspection. This is to
ensure that EON customers are afforded the best in product support from PROTON and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Japan.

It should be noted that only Proton Perdanas of 1995 year of manufacture require the inspection. No other Perdana subsequent to the first batch, or any of the other Proton Iswaras or Proton Wiras are affected.
