gear box are serviceable or you can say is "Overhaul-able". Getting
another gearbox that you do not know the history of usage is a risk but if
you really need to have you gearbox change, let me know. I can get you a
deal to exhange yours with a rebulit one with warranty. You know my e-mail
right ? so write to me.....

the gasket, seals ( many, many seals ), clutch plates, etc...cost up to to
RM1500++ , than you have to consider labor cost. I estimate total cost to
rebuilt one costing could start from RM2000 to RM2500. I did get the kind
of quote before. You cna either take yours and rebuilt it of have an
exchange. This type of gearbox expectent life is aobut 250,000KM to
300,000KM before it need rebuilt. The one with an overdrive (AW71L) is
much more difficult to find now.

Can you find out if your contact can quote us on the 850 g/box pricing ? I
would generally prefer a full overhaul compared to getting a recond unit.
How long does it takes and can I watch ?
Mine is still okay, just want to be prepared and not get slaughtered if I
encounter issues on the 855-T5 (I think the g/box is the same throughout
the range - no ?). Also if it justifyable, I might do some Preventive
Maintenance and get the g/box fully serviced to avoid getting stuck on the
road somewhere.
