Well, think it's about time that some of you will be renewing your road
taxes with the introduction of the new road tax discs around this time
last year.
What I'm interested to know, was it easy to remove the disc from your tint
or was it problematic causing problems with your window tint? Experience
and comments please.

i dun think its difficult at all. if you try peeling at the road tax, it
actually comes out easily, but may tear --> which is the point abt the
sticky part... so that it cannot be used on another vehicle.
i read in the newspaper that the thieves have successfully been able to
take the road tax off another car and then reused. apparently larhh.. so
now the jpj is scratching their heads and thinking how to make the glue
stronger !

Yeah, I've read about that in the papers too. I'm quite sure it will peel
off but may break in parts. Should not cause any problems with your tint
unless you need to scrape it off.
Make the glue stronger? Gosh ... now that's interesting. Cant they just
introduce some smart road tax discs like the ATM bank cards? Geez ....

according to some of the tinting fellas, the roadtax can be peeled off
easily, just needs to do it slowly so that it does not break. the roadtax
are suppose to break at the little cuts made on it but as long as you are
careful, it does not break.

Huh? With smart discs, JPJ needs to just wave the magic scanner mah. All
details inside wat. Fast, simple and efficient.
Different driver? The disc should contain information pertaining to the
car mah, not the driver wat.
