drive one again. Too bad my ex-Wira was parents' car and they decided to

I am one of wira millennium (M) owner. the car can go fast with quit
stable in the highway speed around 120 to 140 still can allow u to go
faster, when you speed exceed 140 u can feel ur car start floating like
the motor boat.
For the fuel consumption i fill RM 50 around 30 litres of unleaded
sheel petrol can go around 450 KM for highway driving and 400 for city
driving. if u always press the pedal until revs more than 4000 u can see
the ur car drinking ur fuel.. but can give u good feeling for pick up ur

As for the fuel consumption, i think it's quite reasonable.
Can the Wira Millenium 1.6 smoke Vios 1.5?
In terms of accessaries, does this wira millenium model come with Auto-
Cruise, AirBag, ABS, CD Player, and Leather Seats?

I read some postings in the forum and they did mention about the fragile
gearbox for Wira 1.6(A). Actually what is wrong with that? why is the 1.6
gearbox can get damage so easily?
If the gearbox kong already, can repair arr? how much har?

I can't tell you for sure why the 1.6A gearbox is fragile.
What I heard is that the Lancer model from which the Wira 1.6 is derived
from in Japan uses the F4A22-1 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Wira 1.6 uses a variant of this transmission, the F4A22-2. Compared
to the 22-1, the 22-2 has a lower OD ratio, making it excellent for

compatible with the Wira and does not have as much problems, but due to
the higher OD ratio, it will exhibit a characteristic whereby the gearbox
is about to shift up but doesn't.
As such, demand is still higher for the 22-2 compared to the 22-1.
Last April, I changed the gearbox on my ex-Wira for RM1,800 (incl
labour). A manual conversion will incur similar costs.
Don't bother with a brand new gearbox, it will set you back for RM18,000.

For what i know the wira 1.6 (A) gb is so problematic because there is
a sensor in the automatic gearbox and u have to use the right gb oil to
maintain the gb if the previous owner use the wrong oil for d gb then will
kong ler.. actually the gb don't have problem but only the sensor in the
gb give problem.

traded in for an used but still overpriced honda civic vtec year 97. it
was a big mistake. while the civic's ride was more subtle, the wira is
more bumpy especially on untarred roads. somehow i felt that the wira
handles corner better and able to accelerate further even doing at 160kph.
at this speed the civic's fuel cut-off mechanism is activated.
surprisingly, at max speed the wira 1.6 engine is relatively quieter than
ALL the subsequent cars that i owned, including my current vios n accord
2.2 yr 97 or ex-waja. i disagree that it floats like a motorboat at high
speed but be careful taking sharp bends at high speed. during my ownership
of this wira, there was only 1 defect....the spare tyre compartment was
transformed to an aquarium. one more thing, not a defect but i think its
common among wiras is that the speedometer overreads. those days, i used
to travel weekly between my home (KL) and workplace (JB) or a distance of
330 km if measure using the accord or civic. but the wira with stock
rims/tyres registered 360 km which is some 10% more.
