There's just not enough torque from a 2L NA engine for the CX5. The vehicle struggles when loaded with 4 heads and luggage. Ford Kuga is definitely better. If the Kuga had 2L Eco boost engine, would be perfect. However the present 1.6 turbo is a whole lot better than the CX5.

Don't judge by paper figure alone, try read AW road test for Kuga in Australia, have you tested the Kuga yourself ? sleep.gif

My SA just called me about my booking of the Mazda Cx5. Now I am offered a CBU unit with 19 inch rim and tire, but I need to pay extra 3k on top of the original offered price. According to her, this is the last batch of CBU, is this a good deal?

Just take it, you can offer to swap with 17" in facebook (CX-5 club Malaysia) to get back yr 3k easily.

I have not, will test it soon. Presently drive a 1.6 turbo sedan. Fully loaded,I won't say it's slow,a bit more torque would be desirable. Hence my thoughts about 2L Eco boost for the Kuga!

Upcoming CKD Mazda CX-5 comes with 17" rims and Goodyear rubber, no major difference between 2WD High Spec and 4WD, except the drive train.
