We bought our Kangoo auto 1.4 since April 2005. My Mrs & I enjoyed it.
Its handling is great. My recent Cameron Highland vacation trip is
wonderful. The car can climb hills & going downhill I did not feel the
car sway as I may expected from a tall vehicle.
I think I enjoy its weird & different look. When I first drove it to my
workplace, all my colleagues flocked around it. Some admired it, others
disliked it. But when I took them out for a spin, they all like its
roominess & the view out from inside plus the firm ride. Now & then, I am
still approached by people when I collected my Kangoo in shopping mall
carpark to allow them to see its boot & passenger area. As usual, they
like its space.
One thing, they usually tell me after they opened the driver's &
passenger's door is, the doors are heavy, solid & close well with "a thub
sound", & that alone makes me feel good & I can certainly live well with
the "Kangoo's weird look"

Is the the local Kangoo's optional 3rd row seat facing rearwards? Is it

chk,
From my observation, the a/c is the only serious issue that prevents you
from signing on the dotted line. Maybe if you have a chat with TCE,
they might do a special service for you to solve your a/c concerns. Can
get them to bundle in foc tinting.
Also, from my observation on kangoo owners here do not mind the a/c not as
cold since other features & benefits already so overwhelming.

6999, you're right. I currently drive Accent and City. And the City air
cond is just so-so, below average I would say. Tats one of the main reason
I'm selling off my City VTEC.
Accent air cond is more powerful and colder. Altis is even better, but too
expensive. Last Friday, I managed to test drive my colleague City and his
air cond is even worse then my City. Both cars tinted same tint, V-Kool
70/Elite all round. I don't understand why he say or feel his car air cond
is alright. Perhaps jaga muka I think.
I had email to TCE and there's no response from them. Not surprising, they
do know me. Last time I had a chat with them, and they kept quiet about
that. Perhaps they know there's nothing much they can do since the Kangoo
engine is just 1.4, putting a more powerful colder air cond might rob the
engine power further. Tinting doesn't really help much. Tint helps to cool
down the car interior faster. But if the aircond is not up to the mark,
nothing much you can do. Tats why I still wait. I usually drive in the hot
afternoon.

Any idea what type/brand of compressor/cooling coil the kangoo using?
Maybe can suggest them to change other brand to solve the problem. Don't
think its an issue since its locally assembled. Dunno if they're using the
same ones as in nissan's.
If UMWT can locally source a/c units which it super cold(in your opinion),
TCE should probably use the same one.

I seriously doubt TCE will go thru all the trouble to plonk in 1 special
a/c for you. What happen if you are still not satisfied?
The only solution? Tell them you will give a booking for a unit without
a/c. If they seriously want your order, shouldnt be too difficult

Hi...
"The only solution? Tell them you will give a booking for a unit without
a/c. If they seriously want your order, shouldnt be too difficult"
I dun think this can be done. I did request the CD player to be excluded
but they also couldn't make it. I think the best solution is to install the
V-cool ($$$)!
