Bloody hell... college kids owning cars some of their own lecturers can`t
even afford to maintain, let alone buy.

I suggest that you get a second hand car, unless you won't feel heartache
seeing other knocking into your car, especially when parking. trust me on
this, my car door is full of bump marks and scratches from being knock by
inconsiderate students when they open their car doors.
try accord, civic, corolla or the PV6.
As for students driving nicer cars than lecturers, those are the sign of
the times, i've seen students driving waja, Gen2, PV6, Aveo and even
camry and this is in public univerities, not private (let's not talk
about that).
happy hunting

Actually, I disagree a bit with this statement. If you have a concentration
problem, you would get into an accident with both an auto and manual car.
It all depends on driver skill. The gears and clutch should just be
instinct. Of course, this assumes that you're a normal skilled driver. If
you're a bad driver, no amount of technology will prevent you from getting
into an accident. In that case, I suggest that one just takes the bus Tongue

But seriously, I think that you should focus on the safety features in the
car like ABS and Airbag if safety is your concern.

>I think auto cars are generally safer in the sense you can concentrate
more >on the driving rather than rowing the gears and playing with the clutch,

"In that case, I suggest that one just takes the bus" - dacmo -

as i said, the fatal rate of accident involving passenger cars is far
higher than those involving buses.

Mr. Cheah,

Get a second-hand Wira 1.6(A) for your kid. I'm a college student too,
driving a Wira 1.5(A), i'm happy that spare parts are easily available,
and cheap too.... remember, a car is a liability...

But then again, a new car is always more reassuring.....

P.S:I'm always wondering how much the fellas in my college driving S-
Classes and E46s spend every month...

when we talk about safety... wira is not a safe car to drive.. at least
not safe to be banged. Agree? If uncle can afford a safer car why not?
Right? Economic is definitey not in his priority, it's his love on his
son that bring him here to ask for opinion.

Everyone has his right to choose what he think he or his offspring
deserved most.

But back to the old question: spoiling a kid with material (in this case,
car). Well, it's depends on how uncle has educated his son. We do not
know how's their relationship and how uncle had communicate with his son.
Maybe his son really deserved such cars.. then why not? Not every kid
from rich family is spoilt. Just don't stereotyping.

That will be fair enough.
