I thought Toyota will discontinue manufacturing because number of units
sold is not significant.

lookie here for my previous comment;

summary=1&Forum=ap957285722&access=2&status=1&subject=want+to+buy+a+MRS

the MR2 Spyder of MR-S commonly known here is a niche sports car so the NAP is hardly affects
it. Its all about dealers & AP guys margin. (unlike most saloon cars or official imports).

true it & can be seen as expensive to others but it all boils down to personal ownership. its a
driving pleasure that money cannot buy. well if you are terribly loaded with $$$$ then jump in
the wagon of the italian or ze german steeds :) hehehe

cayman S is now ONLY RM630K !! hehhe

some may be afraid that the toyota MR2 spyder may no longer be produced (officially
discountinued in US in 2005 ; 2006 in europe but in japan will proceed to 2007.)

Toyota is & will still commit to produce parts for another 15 or so years after the model is
discountinued. BTW one can still order parts of AE86 or AE111 & cars of corolla LE & stuffs.
(true! just go to the local importers of toyota parts). Because of low value of old cars; thats why
most owners prefer to buy second parts or salvage parts locally.

choice is yours & lookie at the local MT mags; there are some pre-owned MR-S within RM108K
-115K. or if you prefer no previous owner locally then it should be RM110K-130K (depending
on spec & year)

hope this helps

if the advertise price is RM120k, what is the best price u think i can
get ?

i wonder how much discount i can get, and their profit margin.

the spyder is only US25k for the brand new one in US.

cant compare US anymore bro. everything in malaysia is higher comparatively.

120K depends on your own negociation. typically they can help if you push but if the now if its
very low milage , the may be a bit reluctant.

BTW do you prefer manual or SMT?

we will meet tonite at shell TTDI at 10pm.

lookie for me if you are keen to find out more about the MR-2 spyder.
