Hi Guys.
I own a 2003 Waja. I love it. I notice that when the car is idle or I'm at the traffic lights, the coldness of the aircond is not good. I top up gas but still the same. When driving is fine. Please advice.
Also my car comes with an original Clarion cassette player. I would like to change to the original Clarion Waja CD player. Any available? What if I change to another CD player from accessory shop? Will it fit or will there be gaps?
Thanks guys!

Mark

Typically this situation relates to the air -con fan not spinning fast enough. If the air con fan motor is good, check the radiator fan as well as the condenser spans across 2 fans. You may also put some mild detergent mixed with water and  pour on it on condenser & radiator. Thereafter rinse it with water. Condenser is located in front of radiator and behind the grill.

Typically a new Waja air con fan motor is RM 180 - RM 200 for original Denso.

Glad to see another person still enjoying the Waja.

On the aircond, its like bro mot88 said.

Your waja is 1 year younger than mine.Mine now needs a new compressor. Mileage is195k km.

On the cd player, i do think u can source it from chop shop.

With player from acc shop, it wont fit as flat as the stock OE clarion.

You top up air con gas, the air con shop did not check the whole system for you?

You can also test the effectiveness of the compressor. When idling (car not moving),measure the coldness and then rev it to around 2000-3000 rpm to see if the coldness increase a lot. Typically it will increase a little bit for such age of car but if it is by quite an amount then, your compressor is weak.

You may have it check further with the air-con shop for further diagnosis.

For Waja original in-dash CD player, you may want to check it out at mudah.my

I actually managed to find a Campro Clarion double din to replace my double din casette which both control knobs are spoilt. Strange thing though, it was not a plug and play. Some rewiring was required. A plus point, I was able to retain the CD charger and use it with the "2007" used CD player.

Check with accessory shops. They may have traded in sets if you want original replacement or if you like aftermarket sets they should have the dash interface replacement too. But not too sure of Waja, but I have seen for many others like Vios, Myvi and so on....
