dear forumers... my mum recently bought me a persona elegance auto as my daily transport back and forth from home and uni. just last Saturday , my car hit 852 km so i decided to do its first service as i have time during the weekdays. during that service, i told the service representative about the juddering effect when braking, she said the respective part will be ordered he'll inform me when it is available.
however, since 2 days ago.. a very apparent buzzing sound paves its way into the cabin... it gets louder if i switch on the air conditioning. i also noticed that whenever the compressor turns on... there will be a sorta eek eek eek noise coming from the engine bay.. which is closely followed by the immense buzzing sound! should i bring it to the service centre or is it a natural phenomenon for the persona? if i were to bring it to the sc.. how does it cost? as i am a student... my budget is restricted.
please help me.. i don't know whether to worry or not... even my mum noticed the unusual noises of the car.
some info about the car... its a persona elegance standard auto, fueled by shell v-power 97, strictly town use as kota kinabalu doesn't have highways (only lots of standstill jams!). daily route from my house to ums is 23 km.. which is around 46 km back and forth.
hope someone can help me as i'am a noob in these things

cause its not good for my engine.. dude!!!!! i need your help!!!!!! i just received my car this afternoon after it spent 5 days at proton sc, they changed the disc brakes only.. n they said there was nothing disturbing about the noises..
HOWEVER my car has a new problem.... it OVERHEATS! just after i took it from the sc.. i headed to ums, as i have a class at 2 p.m... then i encountered a standstill 3 mins away from ums.. thats when i noticed the engine temperature went from 85 degree celcius to 113 degree celcius... i immediately turned off the air cond and parked the car at the side of the road to cool it down.. since then.. the radiator wont turn off.. even when i reached ums after 10 mins of cooling it.. i parked the car near the lab area n turned off the engine.. immediately the radiator went on for i dont know how long! then i went back home.. i noticed my car overheats only when i encounter a standstill jam.. the temp will raise if there is no movement for 1 min.. what the hell is wrong with my car??? i had never everrrrrr encountered such a thing... what the hell did the sc did to my precious persona? what do u suggest? DIY fix or bring it back to sc?

syafiq,
ron95 is good enough fr yr engine.u just need to find the best brand that suits yr engine and driving style better.

u should not have switch off the aircon as if there is problem with yr cooling system, keeping the aircon on is better as it will kept the fan running.i encounter yr problem but with a waja.when stuck in jam the temp will rise to 115c and giving it a little rev will make the needle go to normal position.in my case its bad grounding somewhere.i am used to it till i dont bother to check it as i know its not really overheating.

in yr case i do believe its overheating as the fan kept running after the engine switch off.its a normal condition if the engine is under stress or after a hard workout.

sent yr car back to the sc describing yr problem in detail.use simple words and dont add up.it helps the tech understand yr problem.

About the fuel... man I dont know whats the best ron95 fuel... I live in kk.. I only have 3 options.. shell, petron or Petronas. . Very limited choices... so I chose to take v power as my mum's car.. a crv.. has been veryy dedicated to her.. never gave problems.. n when she sends to honda sc.. the foremen compliments hpw clean her engine is n etc... so I have dat sort of understanding about 97 fuel.. I skipped my class today.. as iam now at the sc

guys! problemo strikes again.. it seems an evil spirit has possessed my car... the service representative told me there was nothing wrong with my car.. they took it for a ride to putatan are n back to proton sc... around 13 km and they didnt see the temp raised. HOWEVER when i drove my car and reached UMS.. i parked it under the shade.. only to notice.. the temp raised till 110.. it went from 90 to 110 in about 1 min of the car being stationary (was preparing my books n etc).. i'll offer a few pics to prove it. the photos have been resized to comply with the 500k upload per pic. note that my car's time is late by 21 mins. (dont kow how to adjust)

1st picture shows the temp exceeding 90..
2nd pic shows it hit 110..
3rd pic shows that after i turned off the engine, the radiator kept on spinning for a good 10 mins
4th pic shows i opened the hood to let the heat dissipate faster..
sigh.. wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif
