GARRETT GT2871R Turbocharger.

Dual Ball Bearing GT2871R turbo (base Garrett P/N 472560-15) assembly with T25 style turbine inlet. Comes with internally wastegated style T25 style turbine housing and GT28R style compressor housing.
Does not include a wastegate actuator bracket and actuator from the factory.

This turbo is great for small displacement engines up to 2.2L and has the ultimate spool up time compared to other units. This turbo has a flow capacity of about 400HP. The external packaging of this turbo can be identical to that of the GT28R (if GT28R style actuator is chosen) and can be a nice stealty upgrade to step up to 400HP of flow without much re-arrangement. GT28RS style actuator is available for kit applications where the end housings are similar, but the wastegate position is unique and the actuator mounting position requires more flexibility with regard to compressor housing rotation (clocking position).

Turbine
-Wheel: 53.85mm w/ 76 trim
-Housing: .86 or .64 ar
-Maps

Compressor
-Wheel: 71mm w/ 52 trim
-Housing: .60 ar (2 bolt inlet and 3 bolt outlet).

What are the PROS & CONS to fit a Turbocharger in Proton Persona 1.6 Auto? Please share your thoughts & experiences.

Thanks!

there a lot of turbo campro with auto tranny out there. go check out the owners and their ride at S4PH - T community in facebook.
not much con heard of if it being setup properly. and the only pain is from the wallet.

some resorted to change the Gearbox to manual or mivec gearbox for more response.

Yeah! It sure will make a big hole in the pocket!

The Proton Persona hp is 110, I wonder how much hp will it generate with the Turbocharger.

with the turbo alone u wont gain much, probably around 30 hp max.
with other part being mod together then your wallat is the limit for hp gain.

when i was younger i always dream of turbo and supercharger.it seems to be the way to go.yes its an easy way of gaining more power.now,i fell in love with just NA.
there is this addiction when u rev an NA engine to get every ounce of power from it.
