Mine is without coating. Weekly wash and top up with DG aquawax and sealant combo already coming 4 years.
For most coating, consumers are always thinking more towards less maintenance, so if still needs top up they will say might as well not do. This is their thinking reading most of their replies in the forum.....

Less share mind. I did coating. "Less maintenance" is true. It does not mean that you do not need to wash your car, easy to wash, etc. Definitely not! But my car can maintain the glossiness like new car until now, even though you may see the water spots and swirls marks when you see it closer. What I need to do is polish and wax but I do not(after more than 3 years). If I only start to do the polish and waxing after 3 years without any coating, definitely the car glossiness will be affected. How to maintain the same condition, if you wish to have similar condition without coating? You need to wax your car frequently or less frequent with polish and wax but yet definitely more frequent than coating.
Everything has pros and cons, not right or wrong, no worth or not worth, depend what you want only. I have never regretted to do coating but not with the brand I have now due to over promising for other benefits!

it all up to customer lah, some time customer say will last for 5 years that they need to top up wax to extand. for 18 to 24 months you just only wash your car weekly only can maintenance it.

I think the coating point here is wrong already. Coating suppose to protect the paint, not maintain to protect the coating?

haha.. maintain the coating to protect the paint.
my take has always been the slightly more traditional way.
wash & wax weekly
Wax & polish & clay & wax monthly
full detail half yearly.
your car will shine like no tomorrow already. also, it will be cheaper.
if you do not have a the time, there are auto detailers out there. I do them myself (i burn calories!)
i find coating totally unjustifiable and the way the sell it is "we can repel water, its magic"
for me, the big step change in paint protection is NOT paint coating. but maybe clear bra. because there is no "top-up", no "maintenance", no "special care". its almost plug and play. the plus point is that it really protects! coating can never come close to clearbra's scratch test.
