Sometimes it caused by some basic failure like fuse....

It seems not cause by the fuse. Initially speedometer malfunction when my car still within warranty (1.5 years usage), went to SC and been informed that fuse not been inserted correctly and problem solved. When warranty ends @ 52k km the same problem happen again, but been informed that the problem is with speedometer not the fuse or wiring. The cost of new speedometer is RM2.2k. So, for rondorian who have the same symptom better get it changed before warranty ends.

Hi,

Sorry to bring up the post again. I have faced the similar issue. It was first the brake light issue that was faulty which I think induced this problem for me. Since I have gained a lot to resolve my rondo issue from this forum, I would like to share my experience on this. Back to the story, basically what I did is, just pull out the memory fuse which is memory and aircond fuse (which comes together) and able to make the meters to work but it was temporary only. The meters are out again. Now, I have to look for new or used ones. Since our rondo are rare breed in M'sia, I m gona have a tough time

Rondo is from the Kia Citra, right? Try chop shop in Sungei Buloh. They have many half cut for Korean cars but not sure if they have your model.....
