Hi bro,

Would be interested to know how well stocked is Brooklands on other wear-and-tear parts such as bushes, suspensions, brake discs, bearings etc... would not want to wait weeks for these commonly replaced parts.

And how knowledgable are the service people? and are their services prompt and proper?

And what's the warranty of your C4? 3 years or 100,000kms WCF?

Thanks bro.

bro, to tell u honestly i havent change any of the parts yet, but i am pretty sure that they stock up the necessary wear n tear ie brake pads. I as of now, has replaced the side signal....and will have to replace the expander valve (for the aircond) next week, and surprisingly they have the stock ready....

the guys working at citroen pj branch are good people, they are helpful....last time when i wanted to replace the side signal, i sent my car to melaka branch (which only do servicing supposedly), they snapped some pics, sent it to KL, and without any questions they purchased it and item arrived in 3 weeks....they replaced it no questions asked....same thinkg with the aircond....senang la dealing with them....their customer not as much as pug.....they still can entertain u.....

warranty is 3 year or 100k KM.....standard rite.....same as honda toyota.....hopefully after naza takeover will be 5 years...shuld be though...common engine...most common parts...

if I ask myself why I am going for C4, here is the 3 WHY. Also included WHY NOT smile_wink.gif

+ve
1). Value for money, full spec car, the best in its class.
2). Very comfortable with fine attention to detail in both car's design and production
3). Exclusivity. I like my car to be different. Easy for me to find my car at the mall car park, easy for my kids to spot my car during school pick up.

-ve
1). The gearbox mechanism EGS is not per my liking. The gear changes is very slow on C4, I can feel it. However I cannot feel this on DS4.
2). Parts availability. There is no hope on Brooklands. Even grey importer like Euromotive, they do not keep stock and may take few months to get the part.
3). The rear seat room height is reduced when you open/slide the sunroof. If you/your kids height 5'9" and above, you cannot sit at the back. DS4 is not having this issue, most likely due to the slanted roof height on C4.

nicely said there bro...ure also considering to buy one? ure right on the room height at the back, but not many that will face the issue, malaysian on average still can fit tongue.gif

EGS ull get used to it...its is fun when u put it in auto, and bang on the accelerator....tried it once....the rev meter will turn to red and blink before changing gears....didnt know that it can change colour...hahha smile_thumbup.gif

well u've found an owner here...bought my c4 in april....comes with EGS...im not sure if latest model comes with normal autobox?

my comments: EGS is good gearbox, but not perfect. the gear shift is definitely slower than DSG /Powershift/normal auto box. but since it is actually an automated manual gearbox, it should be compared to manual rite? EGS is a treasure that not many can love. it combines the acceleration of manual + fuel economy + easy maintenance to the easy to live auto box. try it out as much as you can and try to love it before u buy it.

other than that, my car is good. service interval is every 15k kms which is cheaper than pugs in total.....had replaced my side signal which had water droplets in it for free, brookland did a good job. waited for 3 weeks though (expected as it is from france). smile_thumbup.gif

Hi Mangkokayo,

Where have you been? Too busy enjoying ur ride? haha.

I've test driven a lot of cars and this is the only below RM150k ride that can make my wife smiles when being inside it. She said, "Feel like im in Europe right now".. biggrin.gif . I don't mind the EGS and the low headroom at the back at all. If I want to go fast, just switch to manual and use the paddle shift. I also don't have children, so no problem.

What color did you bought? Is it the Full leather package? I actually want the optional accessories package but they already sold out. Now left only two C4s and a few DS4s. My loan has already been approved but waiting result from another bank to see if can get better rate.

I was told by the SA, interval service is 5,000. Is it in the manual stated you can service every 15,000km?

Bro Aziz,

Nice one if you're thinking of buying the new C4.. 1237.gif

good to see that their services are good. You are right..sometimes when i brought my pug to Naza SC for service, they damn lazy to layan me. Asked them questions also don't want to answer, or donno the answer at all. Don't know say don't know lah with a smile smile_sleepy.gif

If i knew that Brooklands service are actually ok, i would have gone for a C5 lor (or a C4 in 2008)....but hope that customer service doesn't suffer with the Naza take-over.

haha, I like to own cars that are different too. I hate to be one of the millions driving around in a Myvi or a Polotong or T or H. I don't want to "ah-bengizes" my car just to stand out from the crowd, to add stupid stickers and pathetic DRLs. Plus, popular cars are a magnet for thieves. but of course have to suffer the typical problems of driving a rare car lah. I am sick of being asked "why bought Pug lah spare parts expensive, car unreliable, will overheat, no resale value bla bla bla". But one ride in my Pug will shut most of them up. smile_tongue.gif

i bought white, but wanted red, no Exclusive trim at that time ready stocked...so went with white....service is 15k kms...it is not logical at 5k km....thats for T n H...hehe....even Hyundai 10k, KIA 10k kms....i photostated their service pricing for C4, thus i can assure u im right...plus the service indicator shows 15k kms....

so u're confirmed buying right? smile_thumbup.gif

I will go for the Focus if I were you. In fact I will be getting one next week. Besides the attractive price and features the three year free maintenance and 5-year warranty sweetens the deal further.

I own the Focus MKII for five years before I sold it and all it needed was regular service and replacement of wear and tear parts. After a brief and unhappy flirtation with a French (Pug 308 THP) it is back to Ford for me.

Not sure yet coz the unit I'm buying I thought is a storage unit but today went to Brooklands to inspect the car and found out mileage already 600++km. Plus its a 2011 unit. Old stock. The sales man didn't know that previously they used it maybe for test drive.
You bought your unit last April right? Didn't u notice there is a red C4 at Brooklands? Thats the one I want to buy but now have to rethink coz mileage is a bit high than my expectation. Trying to get additional discount now. Bank already approve loan. Now its just up to me. Booking also already paid.
