My 206 (130000+ km) had overheating problem. By that I mean the temp meter goes over 90, 100 and near the red mark. Have to stop, off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Have no idea what went wrong... all other seems ok - the fan, the oil, the coolant.
Send car to sc (plentong) on saturday. Have to stop 3 times along the way (because of the overheating)! Left it there because the sc was close (holiday - 1st ramadan).
This morning the sc called, told me that it's the thermostat problem. Hopes they are right. They quote the thermostat rm90, coolant rm60.
Will see if the problem solved... unsure.gif

This is the most common cause if experienced overheating. The thermostat mechanism get 'stuck', due to rust if i'm not mistaken. Solution is to replace it. Changing to a new coolant is good thing to do as old coolant might be the culprit. Coolant should be use exclusively and replaced every 2 years. Never add pipe or mineral water. RO water is okay if in emergency.
