from bro r3xt0n link.
for the front wheel 47mpg, 4wd 37mpg, UK gallon.

conversion to l/km from 7.6 to 6.1 . still far from claimed.

if can get 7-8 owner , plus rextonhub members then maybe they will hear something.

fyi , rx270 claimed from 29 to 34 mpg, about 8.3 to 9.7 l/km , or 14.94 sen to 17.46 sen per km...yes even after 7,8 years we still can achieve that figure......maybe beat it.hihihi

but the concern here not so much on the mileage but more on gear jerking and window.

Right, the primary concern should be the gear jerking and effect as if ATF overheated could lead something more serious in long term, probably premature damage of the GB. So, should focus the attention to this issue first.

Bro, i totally agreed with all you guys on the idea of grouping this as a whole and talk to them. As time ticking away with our warranty....we won't know when it is going to fail on us..., will it be after warranty ? Are we to endure all these fuss with buying a new car, better to buy a recon then !!!!

CSSB being the disti in Malaysia...they should acknowledge this and address this or give us a better assurance to the GB issues...not until....the warranty expire and we are all then screwed to bear our own cost...

We can speculate....on the type of oil used by CSSB or whatever they are offering , but i believe as consumer , we should not just accept this as it is...with such major issues...

CSSB should be hold accountable and no other parties should we seek .......They are the one selling and invoiced us the $$$$$...

It doesn't help to vent your frustration here or bang the table too early. Issues are always better and easier resolved amicably constructively. Better make sure each of the complaints are properly addressed to CS and documented, it could be helpful in future.

hi rex4585,

mine still running with factory filled ATF. u mention your ride downshift at 50kph when slowing down? to gear 4 or 3? seriously, mine only once in a while has a small jerk at about 10-15kph when almost come to a stop and it downshift to 1st gear.

actually the factory filled ATF will be the best condition for at least 40-60K because it is totally fresh with 7liter. the subsequent ATF change is only half or less new. therefore, should change sooner like 30-40K.

Geely (china auto car maker) owns Drivetrain System International since 2009.

only 15-20 Actyon owners? can't be right? everything i go there sure got new car going out ler...

the hi FC is really something we need to complaint should get at least 7-8liter/100km

maybe we have to try a tank of Euro 4 diesel from Thailand or Singapore...??? anyone can do that?

15 to 20 as at sep 2011, 50 actyion get 10k discount, at that time has about 35 offer left. i don't know how many on our road today.

the fc issue is really something they must explain, i still suspect lots have been done to the car so it can be use here with our diesel.

if 3,4 owner complaint i'm sure the tribunal will investigate.

Yap, at about 50kph but don't know which gear to which. This Actyon no indicator of the gear in use unlike Rexton. The other jerk at 10-15 is no longer there. Still think the gear shifts too slowly upwards when driving gently hence the high FC.
Also think should be more than 15-20 running around as can even see in Ipoh.
Read in other foreign forums and they seem to get slightly better FC. So maybe our Bolehland diesel tobe partly blamed but they also complained of the high FC even though slightly better than what we are getting.

Hi all,

I am an owner of Actyon as well, registered in December 2011, located in Bandar Kinrara, Silver colour. So far quite happy with the ride. A few comments I like to include:
1. I get approx 9.6~9.8 l/100 km even on highway cruising at between legal limit +/- 20 (3 adults, 2 child)
2. The engine jerking phenomena - I encounter them when going through road humps(and there are PLENTY in my housing estate roads) when I had to slow down from 40 or 50 kph to engage the road humps. My observations are as follows"
a. slow down from 40~50 kph to approx 20 and negotiate the hump and accelerate again after, no jerk is noticed.
b. slow down from 40~50 kph to approx 10 and below to nego the hump, and accelerate again after, you will feel as if you stepped on the gas but there is no reaction to move for a few second(?), then the car will jerk and move again. This is as though as the car is "searching" for the correct low gear to use but the gears has not fully gone/transmited to the right gear yet.
Nowadays, I tend to cross road humps either by reducing speed to approx 20kph and then immediate accelerate gently or I will slow down to cross the hump and then brake toi ensure the speed and gear is really almost at gear ratio no 1 before I step on gas again. This can reduce the jerking movement in the gear transmission.

3. The driver side near the seat belt gives some knocking tak tak sound when driving st low speed of 40~60 kph. Still unresolved.
4. The boot door could not be closed properly if car is parked in a decline, i.e. the driver side is slight elevated than the passenger side. I was told this is "normal" during my second free servicing last Saturday. DO not know if any owners encounter this problem.

Of the 4 items that I mentioned, I think item 1 and 2 is of more mechanical issues which needs to be addressed by CS.

I fully support if we, as owners can have a discussion within ourselves(tt?) and list out our grouses. Then we can prioritise the issues and request for a meeting with CS management(including hopefully Ssangyong tech rep from Korea).

hi fong,

welcome to Korando C group. glad you join in. have you request an update of you ECU? most probably your batch need to do so. they will know when checking your chassis number.

i do have a unique problem. does your ride feel vibration around 80kph at the back/rear? steering has no problem. the vibration actually shake the car a bit and generate audible resonance.

besides hi FC, that is the only complaint i got.

Hi Fong, welcome to the group. I am too from Puchong.....mine is the first car on the road and have jerking on gear change, whistling sound and louder at higher speed, and mine has the gear box changed , high fc at 10.8 ....but problem persist...

These are the major issues....

Mine has program updated, jerking still there intermittent...at slow speed just like what you've described....
