Hi all,

I'm really interested in Polo Sedan. However, after reading so many negative comments about VW & Polo Sedan, I have a second thought about it. Any truth on the comments posted on VW Facebook's page?

Thanks for the input. If VW & Polo Sedan are as bad as reflected on that FB, I might consider City, Mazda 2 or even Jazz.

Rgds

Is there anyone here who bought the CKD Polo? Do you have any comments about your new purchase?
Regards,
Flee

Hi Good People!

Just like to share some "not so good" experience with my 1.5 year VW Polo Sedan...

(1) After 15 months, my car's battery went dead....the VW appointed mechanic came over and jump started my car...and I drove off to the nearest service centre. Reached at the service centre and to my dismay they had NO BATTERY IN STOCK !! No choice, I had to leave my car there for 7 days to get one!

(2) After 16 months, my radiator hose suddenly burst at 'Lebuhraya Mahaheru', KL. My car was "carried" by the VW appointed towing truck to the nearest VW service centre. It was a good thing they had the replacement/spare parts at stock. Anyway, I had to leave my car for 2 days there. Btw, is this common (hose burst)?

(3) Also after 16 months, discovered that the 'front shocks (left side)' started to leak badly!! And again, is this common?

(4) Hope for no more problems!

So, how about you good people? Having any "fun"....?

Battery die after 15 months quite normal. Batteries nowadays last from 15 to 24 months only and depends on usage. The more charge and discharge cycle the faster it wears down. But no stock in SC and need 7 days to get one is really bad.

Hose burst after only 16 months is quite premature.

Front shocks again is wear and tear item, so it depends on the mileage it has travelled and a little on luck too.

Yah! hope no more problems especially when after warranty ends....

Just found out another problem....one of my 'cva boots' has a very bad leak!! :-(

It seems that VWG of M uses inferior "quality" stuffs on this car..... and it's pXXsing me off !!

Car still under warranty? But CV boot should be under wear and tear item cannot claim, right?

Like my wife's SUV, car 3 years, engine 5 years, but there are fine prints on certain wear and tear items ranging from 6 months to 1 year warranty only....

Yup, some parts are still under warranty. Like the shocks the warranty is for 6 months or 10,000km (whichever comes first) and it happens that my shocks just passed that! VWSS quoted me about RM2200 for a pair of front shocks (with the bits + labour) !! I'm trying to 'source out' on that...

The 'cv boots' is under warranty...Thank God!

Never had any "heavy" problems with my 7 year old (ex) Honda City ! Boy, I do miss her.....
