I just had a thought about wouldn't it be nice if DVR+camera systems became affordable and mandatory to be installed in the car? It would is like having a portable CCTV on the roads, recording events of crime which could be used to aid the police. Criminals would also think more than twice to commit crime openly for fear of being recorded by one or more cars in the area.
I am thinking of getting this Mini DVR (with motion detection). Group buy most welcomed:
