Forte's forum seems quiet, maybe all owners became speechless after getting their rides. Let me make speech.

I have tried the new 6-speed 1.6SX compared to 4-speed 1.6SX. I find more improvements in the new 6-speed Forte.

- Suspension has improved a lot and it has better bounce and jounce when going over potholes, humps, bumpy roads even with 17" as good as my 15" EX. Old SX with 17" rims has stiffer ride with more road noise.

- new pedal feels like computer simulator, no feel but very responsive and feels great.

- Acceleration is better and the engine could utilize its max power with the new gearbox. Feels like driving 1.8L.

- If everyone knows more about the Forte 6-speed, I don't think many would want the T, H & N brands counterpart anymore.

apart from what mentioned by bro Jay, the FL receives better soundproofing and is slightly lighter, thanks to the new GB which has less components.....u may need to dispose the 'lauya' SStone tyres earlier when they bcome noisy smile_tongue.gif

So, you better work harder since it's so damn good. All cars from T,H & N brands are not as good as your Forte. BUT SALES NUMBER TELL OTHERWISE!!!!! (I am referring to the 2.0 litre variant) smile_big.gif

The Forte 2.0L didn't get to sell in large volume due to no test unit. Same goes to Sportage and maybe even the new Optima. Forte 1.6L could sell well because test have test unit for everyone to try. If NAZA prepared test unit for each and every model, you can throw the Sylphy into abandoned yard like Latio and old Bluebird Altima 1992.

Please wait for the new Avante 1.8L, when it is launched, SIME will sure do better. Tucson and Santa Fe outsold the better looking higher quality Sportage and Sorento because they have test unit available.

Why don't you think this way >> If N brand didn't prepare Sylphy test unit at all showroom, do you think the Sylphy can sell? Answer is none. Want to check which car has demand, put them all in 1 exhibition (WITHOUT PRETTY MODELS standing around) with wide gap from each other. The Sylphy will be lying there quiet compared to other makes. Already saw too many times. You'll find more crowd in Lancer, Forte, Mazda 3, Cruze, Civic, etc but not Sylphy. Even Altis draw some attention. This clearly tells, those who could not afford 1st hand, they too would not go for used Sylphy.

Next time you wanted to compare resale value, take the 3 year old proper Korean made car to compare with your 3 year old Sylphy to check depreciation rate. Just don't faint or get heart attack at that time. Oldest Forte here is just 1 year old, not even reaching 3.

>>My colleague's 08 Sylphy bought RM116k sold RM70k in 2011.
>>My another colleague's Altis E '08 bought RM112k, if he sold it in 2011, he could still fetch between RM85k-90k.
