if no mistake this time the new ford ranger 2.2 TDCI will figure 150hp powerful than 2.5 triton, vigo, old ranger, BT50, dmax, defender. somemore it pair with 6 speed auto (hopefully will bring in to malaysia market). time to play 4x4 again oh yeah :-)

Bro willie79,

even with only 150hp and 375Nm torque , the auto gearbox has improve so much the past 10 years, hardly any slip and all the power/torque fully utilize straight to spin the tyres smile_tongue.gif

some more the kerb weight less than 1700 kg ( i think).....can spin tyre on wet road..hihihhi smile_tongue.gif

I am ok with 2.2 TDCi. BTW, how's the perception of Ford Ranger in M'sia ? Hardly see them around. Hilux are everywhere.

the old auto 5speeder oso damn smooth edy. i can do burn out without the boot cover (lighter). brake + accelerator.. whole road smoke in jalan 222. everyone watching me.. lol..

for manual 2nd gear oso wheel spin when drag redline. manual so much more power but due to kl trafic i go for auto.

I realised the front brake caliper is single pot as opposed to Hilux which is twin pot, better braking power due the kerb weight
