I'm not saying uninvited salesman approach me, I mean that the sales technique is insidious, where a forum member pretends to be something he is not, thereby giving advice on a fuel saving device he claims to have used but in fact he is "selling" the product. Or oil and fuel additive etc...
This forum has matured into a place where we can exchange ideas and advice, shame that it's being hijacked sometimes for commercial reasons.

There are Advertisers who participate positively in the forum, sharing experience and advising interested users but there are Advertisers who hardsell their products. It not only reflect badly on them but also create negative perception on their product and service. Maybe we should boycott such Advertiser to let them learn their lesson.

So far most advertisers have been helpful in explaining their products and so on. Some just advertise but not in them forum.
I think what kaylar mention are those that act as consumer and try selling his/her stuffs.
Other are those who will post with links, websites, contacts etc..... or spam..... smile_disapprove.gif

Some forumer are real users who like to share their true experience of the products they have been using, in this forum and other sites - like for myself. I am not a seller and I just like to share my personal experience with others here. I have installed and use it on own 5 rides and I am a registered with its respective clubs, fully equipped from day 1 as soon as I took my car!!! before even car was break-in with VECTOR tuning box, Ultra Racing Stabiliser bars, Toyo Proxies STII tyres, Bridgestone Potenza, Xado oil, and etc... but then maybe some will think I am a seller or a commission agent for the seller when I write these here? It hurts to be too good and being talked and think otherwise by other for my sharing!

I dont need these few hundred or thousand of cts or dollars for a living, just the passion and fun to share and play play to past times and not to make or save money - infact wasting times and money to run up and down for this play play fun- maybe I am too free and bore at my age now 53yrs, Tomorrow we are gathering to play play on our new toy Golf TSi to boost up to 200hp and 305nm as claim by seller, to let see if they are true? and we are real Golf car owners, so maybe other forumers may think otherwise? So plp will think we selling here again?

But the above said advertiser resellers (Vector & Ultra Racing), Xado recommended by authoriesd SC - Cergazam, is not myself or my company, as they are advertiser in Autoworld and are respected companies, except maybe Toyo and Xado who may not advertised here? I dont know? not my business to know.

As long as you don't spam, or post links, contacts, websites etc. that relays to the products, it is okay. But then in the public forum, you get all sorts. I have encounter some many even in argument. I myself in the earlier stages of joining AW, have been thought to be a seller too, when you emphasize too much on a certain product that you use. But through the years of sharing info and knowledge most have accepted me as a true member and even AW have made me a Moderator... smile_wink.gif

Agree with Bro Vr2, as long as you are genuine in sharing your own personal experience, I dont see an issue here coz, buy or dont buy, agree or dont agree to the products is our own judgement ma. Except for those who condemn the products used without facts, baru lah kita orang hentam dia ok? (Just to make this thread a bit fun ne....!) smile_approve.gif

Like or dislike, for or against, good or not, just give your views then up to the members whether they want to try or not, or to buy or not. Usually we don't listen or look at one person post only. Best if more can chip in then can weigh the pros and cons..... smile_thumbup.gif
