I find it quite absurd for a dealership not to stock any spare parts, especially for wear and tear. I am even more surprised that Suzuki Japan is not aware of the problem on the ground. Suzuki does not sell like 1 or 2 cars a year, which would otherwise justify their reason for not stocking parts.

Business sense wise for SMA, if they don't buck up on the service and parts availability, the frustrations from current owners will just drive potential owners away.

Seriously Swift is a decent car (except for some rattling and some QC issues from SMA).. fun car and feature-packed but don't expect super fast pick-up (though better than Myvis and some 1.5/1.6cc cars).. but handling is sharp (except if compared to Polo.. or Fiesta).
On parts, now come with 3 year free maintenance so should be fine but for body parts if accident, well better to source outside than wait for SMA to order for you..
Seriously, DRB is not up to mark in handling the parts issue.. agreed on this point.

Worse then bunch of monkey, at least monley can be train to do something complicated.
This SMA like many other retail company, know how to bring in car to sell, but don't know how to provide after sales service.
They think like there are doing business in pasar malam.

My Suzuki SX4 is still under warranty. Part of the side car mirror rubber came off. Got it check by the service center in PG. the mechanic confirmed that it is a manufacturing defect and made a claim for me. initially the mechanic told me the part will come in within 3 weeks to 1 month. waited for 3 weeks, no news. called the service center to follow up. was told have to wait for 6 weeks (which is another 3 weeks) as Suzuki Malaysia in KL has no stock and have to order from Japan. Ok, again waited. come 6 weeks, still no news. called the service center again. was told that Suzuki Malaysia challenged the service center findings that it is a manufacturing defect as based on their record, no such claim was made before. the PG service center said they have appealed for me and have to wait for the outcome. again, waited for another 2 weeks (have waited for 10 weeks in total), still no news. called up the service center again, was told that the part will arrive within 2 weeks time (10 weeks in total). again, waited. called up the service center today to follow up again as 2 more days will be 2 weeks (which is 10 weeks in total). the service center informed that they are not sure whether the parts will come in or not.

Well, I informed them that I am disappointed of buying suzuki car as when I buy the car that time, I was being told and given the assurance that spare parts replacement are not an issue at all. and now what has happened? i informed them that if the parts do not arrive within the mentioned 2 weeks, I will seriously consider lodging a complaint with the Consumer Association of Penang.

Suzuki car spare part replacement is terrible!!!
