Hi

Im thinking of new job....car salesman . Not a used car dealers but major company from Japan.

Basic payment is low but commission pay is high.

My knowledge about cars is okay.

Just need to know what are good & bad , high & low in this job. What special skill should I have?

Thank you

The problem is honesty in car sales might get you fired...

I understand that some car sales offices have to clear full payment before getting the car delivered from factories/principles.
Imagine those car sales dealers are having some cash flow issue and couldn't pay on time, Do you think the boss would allow the salesmen to tell their buyers that they will not get their cars on time?

When i booked my forte last year, naza kia reagional manager 'mati-mati' assured and promised me they will launch EWP (+2 or 3yrs) to their owners...i placed my booking on the spot by having it as 1 of the pre-conditions....however, till today nothing is heard bout the EWP...when i called up recently to follow up on my complain, the management told me the RM was no longer with them smile_sleepy.gif

my answer is all the above factors.

imagine this ---> sell 4 camrys a month, earn 10K commision. but its not easy to sell a RM150K car mind you. the challenge is high including competition from salesman of the same brand and other brands.

3. Only come forward when i need one.
4. Explain all true facts.. cause most of the buyer now with little knowledge before picking their goods.

6. Knowing the product well and after sales too

But 1 & 2, contradict each other. You want to be entertain and yet you want slowly examine the car. As you know once the salesman follow you around, he will be trying to sell the car to you....... smile_tongue.gif
