hi there. i'm looking to upgrade the front brakes of an alza. not for sports or track driving etc. this is just to increase braking force and have better bite as when the car is full, the brake force doesn't feel sufficient. are there any aftermarket options for this?

It is the tyre that stop the vehicle... so just get the best tyres before thinking of upgrading the brake system.

..Friend by chance, enemy by choice...

Maybe try to upgrade the pads and change to steel braided brake hose. Both of these is the least evasive to the overall braking system and bring some improvement - dont expect a drastic improvement though. In an auto trans, good brakes are important as there is practically no engine braking to assist stopping/slowing. You also need to adapt to your new car's braking characteristics more so if your previous car has firmer / shorter brake pedal travel or was a manual trans. Like me, I adapt by having to anticipate slowing/stopping situations much earlier.

I hope spare part dealer are not going to sell Alza brake pad more expensive than Waja.... because FYI, they are the same.

Anyone wants to go for any better after market brand has more choices now:

Those who insists using original brake pad would tell you better stick to Original Perodua, they would tell you ori brake pad would not "darken" the sport rim, blah blah blah..... but in this case, it doesn't happen to Alza, because the ori brake pad still emits dark brake dust. So, there is nothing to lose changing to after market brake pads

Is it possible to get toyota brake pads (since alza is toyota passo sette)? My previous myvi used pads for daihatsu boon, korean brand. Those pads are way better than stock pads.
