my ranger was stolen in 2001, no need to pay anything just RM2 for a copy of a police report.
my bike was stolen in 2008, same procedure as the last time, just RM2 for a copy of a police report.
if you don't want a police report copy, it would be free... but you can't go claiming your lost to the insurance.
ic lost due to carelessness also free. the RM2 is a fee for the police report. but JPN will charge you RM100 for the first lost, unless you can convince them it isn't your fault, they can reduce the charges.
btw, so sorry for the lost. it took me 6 months for both claim. don't forget to ask the police to close your case within 2-3 months, only then the insurance will start their own investigation.

Hi matchip,
How about vehicle stolen in year 2008? Wonder why they charged RM300 for stolen old junk? If don't lodge report, that car thief use it to commit crime, the car owner kena. No summons at all.
Standard is 6 months claim for theft. Insurance company set it 6 months to get more time, hoping that the stolen car could be found and fix only the repair instead of paying car market value. Usually when found, the car is often already in sorry state. The smell is terrible.
