To offer occupants optimal protection in the event of a side impact, the Center-Pillar ( B-Pillar )on the 308 is manufactured using a laminate structure of 3 different thicknesses of sheet metal as well as triangulation at the base of the pillar
Side Impact Detection Satellite Sensor (s):
•For Triggering of the Side AND Curtain Airbag Modules, the Airbag / Seatbelt ECUmay rely on 2 Lateral Side-Impact Detection Satellite Sensors
The Airbag / Seatbelt ECU will transmit a [ Impact Detected ] Signal over the MUX network in the event of a vehicle impact
•The [ Impact Detected ] Signalis received by the BSI Unit which may then request the following ;-Fuel Pump Module Supply Cut-off ( managed by PSF1 Module)-Activation of the Hazard Warning Lights-Un-locking of ALL Doors( except for low-speed impacts )

Just to add on for visual warning, the centre console MFD is dual colored, amber (standard) and red (warning indicators)i.e doors or boot is not closed properly.

try driving with your handbrakes on... you will see the red colour at your small MFD at your dashboard.

It is verified. You must drive minimum 10km/h then only will come out with red indication.
