Went for a second test drive since during the first one, the sales guy look like blur & didn't even know how to show the FC gauge. When he pressed the button, it keep on toggling between the trip meter.
Anyway, I observed that from the FC gauge, it always show a reading of above 10ltr/100km even when I'm driving slow at 80-90km. Cruising at 110km will get the RPM to about 3250.
Cheers.

New Exora owners, please share your FC info. During test drive, I find that the MPV is high revving and likes to 'drop gear' frequently. So, I think it will have high FC.
Thanks.
Thanks.
drop gear is to suit it's speed so that u have enough power less feul consumption ... i think .. same like when i drive manual car ... use to change gear frequently ... hehehe

Had the chance to meet with Exora PM and according to him, I need to get used to the drive by wire accelerator. Else the vehicle to frequently 'drop gear'.
Any other Exora owner care to share the FC info with us?
Cheers.

from the info given, RM60 (or about 33 litrs) and able to travel for 500km is simply outstanding!!! even better than Viva/Myvi but lets hope that information is reliable as even the on-board computer also was showing FC of 10 litres for every 100km.
about the transmission dropping gear its nothing new to Proton. the technology was derived from Mitsubishi INVECS II system (they are now using INVECS III with tiptronic function, maybe INVECS IV now). First Proton model to get such intelligent function was Waja in year 2000 then Gen2 and Persona.
Mitsubishi had introduced this in their JDM Galant in the early 90s.
Other manufacturers also have their own similar concept of intelligent adaptive gear change like Toyota (Super ECT), Hyundai (Hivec) and Honda (if not mistaken called Hold Shift Control)
the drive by wire has nothing to do with it other than increasing the efficiency of throttle response and not much related to the gear dropping issue here.
