i prefer diesel as generator for producing high current electricity for electric motor driving all wheel....so became fully independent AWD
I also was thinking along the same lines. Imagine a GT-R AWD with 4 independent motors making 600hp/600ft Ibs torque (this is electric motor power leh not piston engine power leh. All that torque and power at 0km/hr with slick tyres. Crap man. The launch will be ferocious to 100km/h.
Then add in electronic controlled, traction, wheel spin, LSD type action all individually controlled for each motor to get the best traction all of the time. Crap imagine the car coming out, going in and around corners man! It will be on rails man. Moreover you can have so many parameters to help the car turn in and help straighten out the car coming out of the corners, as well in this mode you can never drive faster than the car can as the car will have all the minutest information to get the best grip and acceleration. Then you can switch to human mode where you can have full control of the throttle.
Wah shiok man. The you don't have to worry about the stupid AWD, front LSD slow speed turning circle problem (which the R35 has and you have to go turn it off). You want FWD, RWD, AWD, 4wd with and type of torque slip you want in 4wd mode. Shit its endless. All just select from the on screen GT-R navigation console which the car already has. Then you can use the motors more for braking so don't have to worry so much about wearing away expensive discs and brakes pads and disc "warping" issues.
hai dreaming too much.
