Honestly, I don't know what type of spark plugs are being used in my T5!!
I've not checked it yet. As for my GLT, the spark plugs are changed
(original Volvo) every time the engine oil is changed, that's every 10k
km. May be throwing away good $$ changing them this often.

I'm using Bosch which cost only $20 for 4. My mechanic said this one can
last for only 5000km which means I have to change the plug on the next oil
change. But looking at the oil after 3.5k, it is still yellow in color and
still no sign of turning black. This makes me wonder to change the oil at
5k interval. He said the ori Volvo which costs $60.00 can last 10,000km. I
don't know about the performance but my fc is 28mpg for long distant
driving.

Hi,
My mechanics also said that ori Volvo plugs only last good for 10K km, but
wonder is there any where we can verify the truth of this ? I remember
normal plugs should be able to last up to 20K km based on my experience.

I do heard Volvo Plug can last for 10K, I am using Irridium RM260/5.
Should able to last 100K. Because My original Volvo plug having miss fire
I do check the plug. The gap and center point look OK,
Now is very happy with the NGK irridium. and K&N Air filter fell more
powerful

Buzzvic,
Under the tree mechanic recommends only to change the plugs when the
engine is jerking. Hehehehe.. if that is the case, we can save a lot!

i ve heard of platinum spark plug used by my friend (not volvo though) and
lasts him for over 100K in mileage now. yet still very powerful... i
couldnt actually ask him to define powerful but as long as it's easy to
start, gives power and not jerk, that's powerful enough for me... i am
interested in the irridium plug. where can i get it?
