one myself. Hey, cheahcl...is your car an ori 240T or did you change the
engine? Would like to make my 240 slightly faster, especially pickup but
I don`t wanna change the engine, cause its like new and I never liked
throwing things away needlessly. Anyway, any suggestions for N/A 240?

its a 240GL
plonk in a 940turbo engine... my engine was in horrible condition and the
carby was leaking.
can try changing the cams i guess... the Kcams i have are for sale or you
can try IPDUSA.COM. they are one of the better aftermarket goodies seller
for 240s. you can find for a cam called the VX cam for NA engines ;)
then do up your manifold, exhaust, airfilter... those are the basic i
guess. are you running injection or carby? if carby then get dual DCOE 45
webbers ... then ur pickup will be crazy!!!
but if you want superb handling, find ipd for certain parts.
1. 25mm swaybars front back (stock240s are 18mm+-, turbo240s are 23mm
front 21mm back i'm using it coz its cheap)
2. upper and lower strut bars... cherry turbo braces they call it
3. titans custom coilovers (malaysian made and proven)
4. adjustable panhard rods?? (no money for this either...)
last of all... visit forums.turbobricks.com... 240 crazy ppl ;) but most
of them will say GO TURBO coz their motto is "LIFE STARTS AT 1bar"...
hahahhaa

website... excellent stuff but after conversion, shipping etc...the
prices are insane!
I would be interested though in the Turbo sway bars...would it be
possible to get them and how much?
TITAN...I've heard of them...but what's the trade off between those and
say, a set of Bilsteins or KONIs + B&G springs? (price, handling, ride
quality, durability and aftersales service)

yeah they are hella expensive
but i know a guy who got all their stuff
down to the ATE power slotted disc and bla bla bla.... i also want so
much money leh..... :(
i only bought plug cables from them...... magnacor... about 70++ usd...
worth it lah since i can't find good cables in malaysia for 240s...
turbo swaybars? i brought it in from canada or US one... malaysia hard to
find also... brought in with shipping about RM400-500... not too bad lah
that one... ipd one rm1k+++++ just for the swaybars :( but if i can find
28mm limited edition ones i might consider...
TITANs? the guy who brings in everything has titans... very good la.....
frens who have it have no complains lah. KONI adjustables are almost RM2k
or RM1.2k... can't remember! B+G springs if u can find also rm800-1k...
with that kinda cost, TItans much more value for money. price is about
2.6-2.8k i think. handling great. ride is comfy enuff, as durable as
normal absorbers. aftersales service is the one i eye on. they have good
customer service. free tuning/ changing spring rate for few times.
everytime ur setup dies... after 2 years or so... to service them is
rm200 i think... cheap to maintain ain't it?? ;)

handling is really, how shall we put it? Rolly-polly? Getting new bushes
this weekend for a start. Then probably fit Bilstein HDs all round and
B&G springs. Lastly, be fitting some Hydras. But if I can get some Turbo
sways, that would be sweet! So, how we get them over here from the
states? Sorry dude, not too familiar with this online stuff!

but the shipping was the price of them i think... lol!
but still alright when converted
want my hydras?? lol
bushes? don't waste your time on rubber bushes. get superpro PU
BUSHINGS... using that all round. handling improve tremendously to say
the least... cost RM1k+ a lil, incl. shipping. but its a 1 time
investment ma... supposedly can last 10 years! got that from canada...
they had a 240 group buy there...
i wish malaysia has as must crazy volvo drivers as over there... then we
can have all kinds of group buys to lower down the shipping costs!

are very sensitive. A little mistake turn the tread spoil. The nut can be
change with the ford wheel nut, it longer and hard. By using Ford nut , we
can use the spacer to wider our rear wheel , left and right. The car will
look realy sporty, lowered and not to mention upgrading the engine. It
will cost a lot of $.
Brickboard.

the local SuperPro distributor... but I`m working around a fixed budget
Anyways, my car is only an N/A so the setup I planned should be
adequate.
As to "crazy Volvo drivers" ...Difficult to find 240 kaki in M`sia...many
for FWD models though. Anyways, the parts to tune 240s are there, but
without some partners in crime, tend to run out of enthusiasm fast...

proposal to goverment to consider reduce the road-tax because most of that
car is not for daily use, it only for leasure or collection. If any of us
here familiar or close contact with persatuan pengguna to help us to get
the goverment consideration, you can get so many 240 kaki in Malaysia. The
road tax are so expensive for that brick to keep. I only used mostly less
than 100 km permonth ( 5 km perday).
